Blog | Why Yoga?

How can yoga practice be helpful in the world? I ask myself that question often, at least as a reminder for myself. Why do I do what I do, why do I share what I share?

Why do I love sharing yoga?

Especially when big things are happening in the world (which I think is every day), and we feel the pain others are going through, I think it’s very natural and human that we want to help, we want to make a positive contribution, and connect to each other.

There are always big and small initiatives and organisations that we can support financially, with things, with our time or with our talents.

And for me personally the yoga practice is very important. It helps me stay centered, instead of getting caught up in my own emotions and thoughts. And of course that is often uncomfortable, even a struggle, to get swept of my feet because of terrible news that comes in, and then still also practice for myself: hey stay here, be present, to remember and feel: oh ja, centering myself is my responsibility. And from there, I can be available and offer something positive.

Remember and trust what centers you. What grounds you and lifts you up ✨
